Here’s What The May 26 Lunar Eclipse Means If You’re An Earth Sign

The first total lunar eclipse of 2021 is almost upon us, and it’s set to occur on May 26. The event will be most visible in the west of the U.S., as well as in Australia, South East Asia, and South America. Viewers can get ready for the Moon – which is actually slowly drifting away from us – to travel through Earth’s shadow, turning it a dark red color.

For this reason, it’s also known as a “Blood Moon,” and it’ll be the first in over two years. For reference, the last time we had a total lunar eclipse was in January 2019, (via Space).

The red comes from the sunlight filtering through the Earth’s atmosphere, appearing as a ring of light due to the sunrises and sunsets occurring around the world at the time, (via The Sun). The lunar eclipse has plenty of astrological significance too – if you’re an Earth sign, here’s what it means for you.

Earth signs should expect change

The three Earth signs – Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn – will all be affected by the eclipse, but in slightly different ways. For Taurus, you might find yourself striking it lucky during the eclipse – it may be time for you to have another look at that high-profile job you’ve had your eye on, according to The Sun.

In comparison, Virgo might be focusing more on their home situation rather than work, as it might change. This might be for work-related reasons or personal preferences, but either way, it’s best to be prepared for some sort of shift. As for Capricorn, it’s an indication that if you’re holding onto something that no longer has purpose, it’s time to let it go. You won’t look back after this eclipse; instead, you can continue looking forward to what’s yet to come.

No matter your sign, keep an open mind during this eclipse, make sure that you communicate, and as Allure says, “Expect the unexpected.”
