Hidden Valley Wants to Make Ranch Pop-Tarts and Twitter Is Going Wild

It isn’t news that everyone has different taste buds, so internet users’ strange suggestions of food and flavor combinations are never really that surprising—though very weird nonetheless (see: Seth Rogen’s dad’s sandwich recipe). It really only comes as a shock when those out-of-the-box suggestions gain the interest of food brands.

This week, Hidden Valley responded to a tweet in which Kyle Heroff of St. Paul, MN, requested they team up with Pop-Tarts to make Ranch Dressing Pop-Tarts a thing you can buy. Their response? “Hey @PopTartsUS – let’s have some fun and give the people what they want.”

As with anything on social media, this sparked some mixed reviews, and sadly for those who are all in for making said Ranch toaster pastries a thing, Pop-Tarts wasn’t as enthusiastic as Hidden Valley was about the idea:

lol no https://t.co/duAnvrjbSz

And by “not as enthusiastic,” we actually mean not into it at all. The quick “lol no” was their nice way of saying “GTFO.” A swift way of ending that discussion, but people are still not taking no for an answer. After all, as Kyle pointed out in his original tweet, people do say you can put Ranch on anything to make it even better. But where do we draw that line?
