Five months after leaving the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor, Jayde Adams is still in awe of her “dream come true”. Speaking to Express.co.uk before embarking on her tour, Men I Can Save You, the comedian revealed one contestant and one professional dancer from 2022’s Strictly series that she believes could become stand-up stars.
The comedian gleefully looks back at her time on Strictly Come Dancing, paired with professional Karen Hauer, even as she was the fourth celebrity eliminated after a dance-off with Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu.
While both Karen and Jayde are “busy girls”, they still keep in touch, nurturing a sweet friendship that won over countless fans on the show.
However, the comedian noted that the entire Strictly Come Dancing 2022 group is quite close, highlighting an unlikely friendship she’d made.
She continued: “Kaye Adams and I are always keeping up with each other.”
Jayde revealed that the Loose Women star is actually the “person I’ve connected to the most” and the pair have arranged a sweet meet-up while the comedian tours in Glasgow.
Fawning over her fellow competitor, Jayde added: “She’s so funny and clever and intelligent.
“I keep saying to her ‘do stand up babes’ because her observations about the world are really interesting.”
However, Jayde emphasised that she has kept in contact with most stars from the competition like Helen Skelton and Ellie Taylor.
She added: “There’s a real camaraderie with everyone on the show, it’s one of the best things about it that everyone just likes each other and gets on.
“It’s nice, I’ve got a whole bunch of new friends who were in the industry and are useful because it can be quite a difficult industry sometimes.
“Now I’ve got a whole plethora of people that I can go to for advice if I want to.”
Throughout the conversation Jayde gushes over various stars and their untapped comedian potential, adding that Kaye’s own Strictly Partner could also be a star.

She shared: “Kai loved being with Kaye but he’s dead funny and he does impressions and stuff.
“I think there’s a comedian in Kai Widdrington.”
The 38-year-old has been non-stop since her Strictly exit, which she says actually came at the perfect time.
She shared: “I was happy with it all really. I came, I smashed, I went.
“Then actually I was in pre-production immediately for Ruby Speaking and to be honest with you I don’t know how the hell I would’ve done both.
“I would’ve stayed on forever and would love to have done Blackpool but I was ready to start my series.
“I think my people might’ve been rather stressed if I stayed in till the end.” she adds with a giggle.
