Maura Higgins and Molly-Mae Hague say they ‘nearly died’ after ‘petrifying’ yacht trip where boat ‘almost capsized’

Maura Higgins and Molly-Mae Hague have revealed they “nearly died” during a petrifying yacht trip on their holiday in Crete, Greece.

The Love Island stars concerned fans as they shared clips and photos of the terrifying ordeal, where they were taken on a boat with Molly’s sister Zoe and celebrity hairdresser Jay Birmingham.

Irish beauty Maura, 29, took to her Instagram story to share her take on the trip.

Speaking in a clip after getting back on dry land she explained: “So guys, we got on a beautiful yacht today – well, what we thought was a beautiful yacht.

“And we nearly died and that is the truth.”

She then turned the camera to Molly-Mae, 21, who said: “I don’t know how I’m here right now.”

Pointing at Molly-Mae and her sister Zoe, Maura added: “Strong lifeguard, another strong lifeguard and they were petrified. Me and Jay were nearly vomiting.”

Molly-Mae, who almost didn’t make her trip to Greece, added: “You were crying,” as she gestured towards Maura.

Reality star Maura then added: “So, the next video… I’m gonna put up some footage just so you can see how bad it was.”

Maura, who recently hit out at ex Curtis Pritchard after he reportedly kissed Amber Pierson, then posted a photo of a woman sunbathing on a yacht and wrote: “Expectation” above it.

In the next post, Maura filmed a video taken on someone else’s phone showing their terrifying boat trip.

She also posted a photo of Jay burying his head on a table on the boat.

The Irish stunner then reassured her fans she is OK as she posted a beautiful selfie and wrote below it: “Stomach is still turning upside down”.

Meanwhile, Molly-Mae shared her experience with her 4.4million Instagram followers on her own story.

Sharing a similar photo of Jay with his head on the table, she wrote on top: “The reality of our boat day.

“I will never take another day in my life for granted again, we genuinely thought we were going to die.

“I’m not even being dramatic.”

She then shared a clip of Jay and her sister demanding they turn the boat around do they can get back to shore.

Molly-Mae wrote on top of the video: “I’ve never ever seen my sister speak like this

“She’s only speaking like this because we asked over ten times for them to turn the boat around and they wouldn’t”.

In another clip, which gave an inside view of the boat rocking from side to side, Molly-Mae gave further detail to he fans.

She wrote on top of it: “Sooooo many questions from everyone. I’ll have to film a story time and explain the full morning but right now I’m just happy to be on solid ground.”

Molly-Mae continued: “Basically the waves were that bad the boat was almost capsizing and the drivers didn’t speak english, there were no life jackets.

“Baring in mind me and my sis are both fully qualified lifeguards. We were both fearing for our lives.

“Was mean to be a relaxing dat. Sunbathing etc and look at the fear on their faces please Maura in the corner crying”.
