Michelle Heaton has bravely shown a comparison shot of herself before and after rehab as she celebrates 100 days sober.

The 42 year old has recently opened up about her secret alcohol and drug addiction battle which left her "days from death" earlier this year.

She has now taken to Instagram to celebrate her milestone and shared snaps of her before and after getting help, showing a massive difference in her appearance.

In the first snap shared with her 240,000 followers, Liberty X singer Michelle looks almost unrecognisable as she appears bloated and looks tired while she avoids direct eye contact with the camera.

In the second make-up free snap, the mum-of-two is glowing as she smiles at the camera, looking proud of herself for coming as far as she has.

She penned alongside the images: "100 days! Clean and sober! 100 days ago I took this photo, the morning I went into rehab.

"I remember waking up after yet another night of a party for one, alone by myself in utter madness and chaos.

"100 days on, and I wake up (with still tired eyes), but tired from just a restless sleep, not a drugged up binge.

"All I could see was darkness, now I can see light. Where there was pain I feel joy. Where there was no hope I have comfort. I hate to preach .. but here I go!"

Michelle continued: "I'm preaching to the still suffering addict. You are not alone, you are me, I was you!

"If you are in pain if you are controlled and have became powerless to this disease only YOU can label yourself!

"Admitting you need or want help is the first and hardest step.

"Let's beat this! One day at a time. Not for tomorrow, just for today! Help is out there."

She then went on to inform her fans of where they can receive help, adding: "Call If you need help with a drinking problem either phone the national help line 0800 9177 650 or contact by email: [email protected] and visit the website: https://www.alcoholics-anonymous.org.uk/Contact."

Her pal Danielle Lloyd commented on the post: "Well done babe your doing so well."
