Michelle Heaton has pledged to support her best friend Katie Price after the star was reportedly arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and taken to hospital following a car crash on Tuesday 28 September.
The 42 year old and the former glamour model have had each other's backs for many years and Katie most recently revealed she got her pal into rehab for her alcohol addiction.
Michelle has now promised to return the favour and be there for Katie, 43, during a rough period.
Posting on Instagram as it was revealed that Katie has been charged with driving while disqualified and will appear in court, Michelle wrote: "As you all know, Katie was there for me when I needed her and I of course am there for her!
"Right now, please give us all space."
The Liberty X star added that she will not be talking about Katie in interviews, unless her friend or her family "wish me to".
She continued: "Our friendship over 21 years is built on trust. At this point I just reiterate what her family have already said and will support all in private.
"To anyone else out there who needs help – ask for it and you’ll be surprised at the support that’s given to you. Asking is the hardest but first step. "
Her post came after a source told The Sun Online that the Liberty X singer is "desperate" for the TV personality to get the help she needs.
"Michelle's desperately worried about Katie and wants her to get help," the insider explained. “Katie saved her life now she wants to repay the favour."
The source went on to explain that Michelle met up with Katie just last week, but "knew something wasn't right".
The former Liberty X star has since spoken to Katie's terminally ill mum Amy, who is on the transplant list, about her worries over her daughter. It's been said that Amy, 69, is in agreement with Michelle for the reality star to return to rehab and "get healthy again".
OK! has approached both Katie and Michelle's representatives for further comment.
Katie's family have already released a statement, sharing how worried they are for her following reports of the accident.
Taking to her Instagram to speak to her 2.6 million followers, the statement read: "This message has been written by Kate's family.
"As a family, we have for some time been concerned about Kate's wellbeing and overall mental health.
"Today, our worst fears nearly came true. As a family, we have been and will continue to help Kate get the help she needs."
The public post continued to say that Katie's family hope she will now seek the "necessary treatment" to get the help she needs, and that they are looking forward to the star returning to the "mother, daughter and sister" they all know.

"We hope that she will realise that she cannot battle her issues alone," the statement went on. "We would kindly ask that the media and wider public give Kate the time and space she needs to seek the necessary treatment, so that she can hopefully return to the Kate we know and love as a mother, daughter and sister."
Katie's family finished their statement by sharing more of their concerns for the star, and hope she will continue her "path privately moving forward".
"We are concerned and worried about her deeply, we know she lives her life publicly and to many she is fair game, but as a family we hope she can find her path privately moving forward during this very difficult period in her life," the family said.
"We are not asking for sympathy – just that it is recognised that Kate is unwell.
"We take great comfort in reading the messages of support and love for Kate that we will pass on to her, in the hope that these positive messages will help spur her on.
"It takes great strength for one to acknowledge they need help. We hope the door is now open for Kate to learn to love herself and to be happy within. Mental illness is not a personal failure. The Price Family xxx," the statement added.
