This is the most disastrous week in Strictly Come Dancing history. I feel completely and utterly devastated Nicola [Adams] and Katya [Jones], after they were axed from the show.

This year Nicola and Katya started Strictly 2020 with a history breaking partnership they have come so far together already, despite only having known each other for a short while.

It’s around this stage of the game where you have learnt so much about how each other ticks, what makes each other shine and it’s really now where the wheels start in motion to really achieving greatness.

I am devastated that this journey has come to an end so quickly for them as I truly believe that Nicola being in the bottom two last week would have reason for them to come out this Saturday night all guns blazing, like Nicola said in her tweet: “I had so much more to give and so many people to win this for!”

These two formed such a strong bond that was really so beautiful to see and now it’s been stripped away from them.

I know that Nicola and Katya had only scratched the surface with there journey so far and truly believe Nicola had a whole lot more to give.

Week one saw Katya and Nicola take to the Strictly floor with their explosive quickstep that had the nation intrigued to see the first ever same-sex partnership and like I said in my column that week they did not disappoint!

They had a great week one with plenty of room to grow, followed by an incredibly moving and powerful performance in week two, with their couples choice routine.

Nicola came out looking like a true winner, she looked really comfortable doing her thing with ease, precession and personality.

Last week as I already mentioned I saw the two in the bottom two, which meant this particular dance being the jive just did not suit Nicola but that doesn’t mean she didn’t have the capability to be on top of the leader board this week, because she does have that ability given the right dance dance and genre to suit Nicola.

The Charleston, Paso Doble and Tango could have been top scoring dances for the pair, in my personal opinion, hence why I find this news so frustrating.

I am going to miss Nicola’s beautiful, beaming smile and energy in the weeks ahead.

It is certainly a strange time to be living and performing on Strictly Come Dancing, I guess we have to thank our lucky stars that Strictly was able to happen at all.

Nicola you will be sadly missed. Wishing Katya a very speedy recovery as she will be extremely missed, too.

Motsi Mabuse will sadly be missed on the judging panel the next two weeks as she had to go back to Germany for an urgent matter, but will be gracing our screens in the comfort of her own home.

Rylan [Clark Neal] will be missing It Takes Two after having been with a friend who tested positive. Luckily, he has tested negatively which is great news.
