Strictly’s Chris Ramsey in doghouse with wife as she jokes about the Curse

Chris Ramsey is already flirting with the Strictly Curse just hours after he was confirmed as part of the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 line-up , his wife has quipped.

Comedian Chris announced he was joining the hit BBC show last night on The One Show, alongside former England goalie David James and EastEnders star Emma Barton.

But he failed to ring his wife Rosie Ramsey after his appearance, causing her to share a scorching message on Instagram .

"So yeah, very exciting announcement, I'm not being funny, I don't want to start rumours but he said he was going to ring after," she told her followers from her holiday villa, where Chris will be jetting out to join the family later.

"He was on the One Show half an hour ago. It’s started already. I knew it would happen," she added, with the word CURSE across the screen.

A little later, she updated fans to tell them not to panic.

"He rang, our marriage is safe. I'm really looking forward to having something to actually do on a Saturday night," she wrote.

"As always your support for stuff is incredible! Feel like it’s me doing it! (Wish it was. Not bitter. Bit Bitter. It’s all good)."

It didn't take long for Rosie's real feelings to come through, however.

"Definitely not jealous, Really, really prou.d So happy for him. No jealousy or bitterness over here. None at all. I just won't have it.

"If anything does happen though… I'm TOTALLY available. Happy and willing to cancel ALL plans @bbcstrictly," she quipped over a video of herself rolling on the floor and kicking her legs in the air.

It came after Chris let slip that he'd accidentally blabbed his Strictly news to three mates on a stag do but "they forgot".

"I'm both excited and absolutely terrified to be doing the show. You will not find me on the dance floor at parties, you will find me at the buffet table. All night," he said ahead of the Strictly red carpet launch later this month.

"At my wedding I danced with my wife; that one song took about 6 months practise, and I definitely stood on her feet a couple of times.

"So I'm looking forward to the possibility of making a fool of myself in front of millions of people…there better be a buffet after the live shows."

Chris and Rosie have been married since 2014 and have one five-year-old son together, called Robin.

Sadly, they lost their second baby to miscarriage at 12 weeks last year, with Chris explaining a routine scan showed a sac with nothing inside.

"The cruellest bit of the whole thing was that Rosie's body thought she was pregnant there was a bump and everything, we talked about whether to go public or not and we're so glad we did," he said on ITV's Lorraine at the time.

"So many people miscarry and no one talks about it, because it was before that 12 week mark when they say don't tell anybody you're pregnant in case something happens.

"Because it all went wrong we can't brush under the carpet," he went on. "Example was on here and texted me and said it happened me, so many people I know have said happened to me twice."
