If we didn’t already know it, Blake Lively proved she is an icon on Saturday when she trolled a Wrexham AFC fan in the most spectacular fashion.
The 35-year-old Gossip Girl actor’s Hollywood husband Ryan Reynolds, 46, famously bought the Welsh football club with comedy star Rob McElhenney in 2020.
Ever since, this unlikely glamorous presence at football matches in the quiet Welsh city, populated by 130,000 people, has understandably hit the headlines – not least because Ryan and Rob made a Disney+ documentary, Welcome To Wrexham, all about their investment
But it’s not just the co-owners who are popular with the crowds, as was made clear when football fans fought for Blake’s attention after Wrexham’s home match at the weekend.
‘Blake, Blake,’ a man can be heard shouting at the actor, who looked all smiles as she chatted to Wrexham locals and fans.
Having grabbed the Hollywood icon’s attention, he continued: ‘Can you say hi to Stephanie, my girlfriend?’

This isn’t the first time Blake has shown her spicy streak, as she’s been known to troll her husband in the past (who gives as good as he gets, too).
In January this year, Blake confessed to having paid for ESPN+ ‘just to watch my husband experience crippling anxiety live’ as he looked visibly distressed while watching Wrexham in a particularly tense match.
She neatly concluded that the subscription commitment was ‘worth it’.
But joking aside, it seems Blake is pretty invested in the football team too, as she added at the time: ‘If you’re not watching this insane @wrexham_afc game right now you’re missing out on these vibes.
‘They’re playing a team 3 leagues higher. And currently winning. Life makes no sense.’
Seeing Hollywood legends bantering with Welsh football fans will surely never get old.
