Hélas has united with French graffiti and tattoo artist Fuzi Uvtpk, better known as FUZI, for a capsule collection. Known for creating the “ignorant” tattoo style, his eclectic graffiti designs and photography, Fuzi lent his special set of skills to reimagine staple pieces from the Hélas brand.
The collaborative collection illustrates the world of Fuzi featuring FUZI’s comic-book heroine Porsha Martini, his renowned “Ignorantism” graffiti style, a street angel character who is a replica of one he painted 20 years ago and more. FUZI’s world is then illustrated on a variety of staple pieces including a sweater, hoodies, t-shirts, custom jackets designed with spray paint and hats.
The standout piece from the collection is the Porsha Martini sweater which features an all-over graphic. The design showcases a burning city with the comic-book heroine leisurely sitting on the handle of a pistol. Written in the sky are “Hélas” and “FUZI” in graffiti and block style fonts.
To bring the collection to life, it was shot in a room at the Dédale Art Center in Vannes, France that was covered entirely in FUZI’s “Ignorantism” artwork. The capsule is the first of a new series of collaborations by Hélas that is intended to increase partnerships between brands and artists.
The Hélas x FUZI capsule collection will be available on August 25 on Hélas’ website, FUZI’s website and through Hélas’ retail network.
