Poor Lorraine Kelly resorted to holding up her own subtitles after losing her voice hours before her live show.
While getting ready for their usual handover on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain, hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway were slightly hesitant to ask the 63-year-old what was coming up on her show
Earlier this morning, Lorraine tweeted: ‘HELP! I’ve lost my voice – any cures that have worked for you (and yes – well aware some might say me not able to talk can only be a blessing).’
She was later seen holding up a card, which read: ‘I’ve lost my voice [Dr] Hilary can you take over?’
After Dr Hilary told viewers what to expect on today’s instalment, Kate and Ben couldn’t help but poke fun at the situation.
‘Lorraine have you been shouting at the Chancellor, is that what’s happened?’ Ben joked.

Ben later quipped: ‘That’s going to be a thoroughly entertaining hour with Lorraine and no voice.’
During her titular show, Lorraine used her situation to her advantage and asked Dr Hilary the best remedies to cure a sore throat.
‘Half a pint of whiskey should do the trick, well you’d forget and have no voice at all?’ she enthused.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am and Lorraine also airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
