UNIQLO UT Taps Jeff Koons for Latest Collaborative Collection

Following a series of anime-inspired drops and a Louvre collaboration, UNIQLO UT has now enlisted the American contemporary artist Jeff Koons for a collaborative FW21 collection.

Koon’s stainless steel Rabbit sculpture sold for $91.1 million USD at a Christie’s auction in 2019, setting the current record for the most expensive piece of art sold by any living artist today. The Rabbit, and four other famous pieces by Jeff Koons including the Balloon Dog (Orange), Seated Ballerina, Play-Doh and Gazing Ball, are found decorating  a series of UNIQLO UT graphic hoodies and T-shirts.

“I enjoy very much how UNIQLO is in contact with my generation but also a younger generation,” says Koons of the collaboration. “Everybody enjoys, very much, their clothing and I love that sense of unity. I hope that this collaboration will help people around the world to connect with each other and that art will enrich their daily lives.”

The UNIQLO UT x Jeff Koons collection is now available at UNIQLO’s online and physical stores. T-shirts in the series are priced at $19.90 and hoodies can be purchased for $29.90 USD.
