Colour blind man's friends get him glasses and his reaction is wholesome

Most of us don’t think twice when we’re out and about in our local neighbourhood. But, for some, seeing the trees, the cars, and houses can be a new and exciting experience.

For colour blind music producer Mac from Atlanta, US, seeing what these everyday things look like meant a whole lot.

For his birthday, Mac’s friends bought him corrective glasses so he could see his red car for the first time and the trees outside his house.

They filmed Mac as he reacted to the vibrancy surrounding him, jumping up and down as he took it all in.

The 22-year-old could hardly believe that this is what most people see on a daily basis.

Mac was blown away by the kindness of his pals.

The wholesome reaction has been shared on Twitter where more than 180,000 people liked the video.

Mac was filmed by his friends as he ran around the neighbourhood, with his hands on his head in disbelief as he took everything in.

He wrote on the Twitter post: ‘The fact that I hardly ever mentioned my want for colour blind glasses and my friends literally went out of their way to get me a pair for my birthday just tells me how much they love my ass and I couldn’t have asked for better people to call my brothers!!!’

We reached out to Mac to see what it was like seeing different hues for the first time.

He told Metro.co.uk: ‘It felt eye-opening (no pun intended) because I never knew how vibrant and bright colours were before.

‘And I was definitely surprised at my friends for going out their way when I never asked them to get me these.’

We love to see it.
