Hannah Gadsby has secretly tied the knot.
The comedian, 43, announced that she quietly married producer Jenney Shamash in January.
“I would like to introduce all y’all to Jenney Shamash,” she wrote in a post to her Instagram on Wednesday along with a photo of the newlyweds eating ice cream. “She is a producer extraordinaire. She is very funny and is really talented at reciting facts. It is a joy to behold.”
Gadsby confirmed that they are “very chuffed” about being married before expressing how grateful she feels to spend the rest of her life with someone she loves.
“For the record: this is me gushing. I am full of very positive feelings,” she wrote. “This is a nice story. My heart felt [sic] thanks to everybody who voted for marriage equality.”
Several celebrities took to the comments section to wish the couple all the best.
“awww I love love 🖤 congratulations,” fellow comic and “The Circle” host Michelle Buteau wrote.
“Russian Doll” star Natasha Lyonne commented, “Congratulations!!🥰🥰🥰😎,” to which Sharon Stone echoed, “Huge congrats 🔥👏❤️.”
The post was Gadsby and Shamash’s couple debut on social media. The Aussie Netflix star had not previously posted any photos with her new wife nor had she publicly mentioned they were in a relationship.
Shamash isn’t the only new addition to the Emmy winner’s family. In November 2020, Gadsby adopted a new puppy named Daisy. She has two other pups, Jasper and Douglas, the latter of whom she named her latest comedy tour after.
Gadsby climbed to fame after winning the Raw Comedy competition in 2006. In her Netflix comedy special “Nanette,” she touches on subjects such as her diagnosis with ADHD and autism as well as gender and sexuality.
