Cut-price Christmas decorations that look just like high-end designs

Why pay more for your Christmas decor? Bargain stores such as Aldi and Matalan’s trinkets cost as little as £5.99 and look IDENTICAL to pricey baubles for more than 10 times the price (but can YOU tell the difference?)

  • From baubles to stockings, the cost of Christmas decorations quickly rack up
  • But these lookalikes prove that there is a way to achieve the look for less
  • FEMAIL has found cut-price wreaths, tree toppers and skirts that look expensive

These cut-price lookalikes prove it is possible to achieve a high-end Christmas look without breaking the bank.

From Matalan to Dunelm, Britain’s favourite budget retailers have released their Christmas decoration ranges in time for the festive season, and they look just like designs from high-end stores like Liberty and John Lewis.

A Father Christmas ornament from Harrods, for example, costs £259, but looks strikingly similar to Wayfair’s £57.99 offering. Elsewhere, a £165 Selfridges wreath bears more than a passing resemblance to Matalan’s £15 design.

The latest big name to unveil its festive offering is Lidl, which released a collection of twinkling fairy lights, baubles and tinsel last week, with prices starting at just 99p.

But can you tell the designer decorations from the budget lookalikes? Scroll down to see nine side-by-side comparisons then check your answers at the bottom.
