EastEnders Tina Carter star Luisa Bradshaw-White’s new career after soap exit

Luisa Bradshaw-White has turned her back on acting in order to pursue a career as a dance teacher and a DJ.

The EastEnders star, 47, portrayed Tina Carter in the hit BBC One soap for seven years, having made her first appearance on the show back in 2013.

In October 2020, it was revealed that Luisa would be leaving the soap, and two months later viewers watched in horror as Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) brutally murdered Tina after Tina discovered the lawyer had killed his wife Chantelle.

In recent episodes, police finally unearthed Tina's body with her death sending shockwaves across Albert Square.

Over the years Luisa has starred in numerous TV shows, including Holby City and Grange Hill, but now the actress has opted to take on a new career following her EastEnders exit.

The 47 year old has set up her own dance company, Om Love UK, in the village of Chorleywood in Hertfordshire.

Luisa has partnered up with her pal Jenna Presley, a high vibrational life coach, and together they have launched the Cacao-fuelled Ecstatic dance venture.

Opening up about her new career, Luisa told HertsLive: "Everybody drinks the cacao (tree that produces cocoa beans) so there's a little bit of a ceremony and then people just start dancing and I DJ the music to start really, really chilled and then the beat picks up and the cacao really opens your heart.

"The cacao and the music together is such an awesome combination."

Luisa also DJ's at the dance sessions, and she first announced her career change back in October. Taking to Instagram, the former actress wrote: "So excited for my latest venture!

"I have joined forces with @love.life.uk to create the most awesome Ecstatic Dance parties. I will be DJing the best music EVER to dance to. Can’t wait to see you all there! Come join us we are at @omloveuk".

The star has continued to share snaps and videos online of her dance sessions, and previously told her followers that she now felt "far richer than when I was earning loads of money on EE".

Opening up about her acting career to HertsLive, Luisa said: "When I was in Holby City, I couldn't just be in Holby City, I went off to learn an alternative therapy that fed my soul because acting doesn't."

She added: "And even though I loved being in EastEnders and met the best people, again it didn't feed my soul and after seven years it was time, I just felt this calling so much that I just wanted to do something that I was passionate about.

"It's such a joy to find something I really, really want to do, especially with Covid I think it makes you take stock."

Luisa documents her journey over on Instagram, where she regularly posts inspirational messages and opens up about self love, as well as snaps of her family life with wife Annette, and their two daughters.
