Enjoy an afternoon tea on a boat with a personal butler for the Jubilee

If all this Jubilee talk has given you a taste for the finer things in life, a new experience is guaranteed to offer you the royal treatment.

GoBoat is offering guests the chance to live like a Queen over the bank holiday weekend.

From June 2-5, anyone who books a boat at their Kingston branch can enjoy a luxury afternoon tea as they set sail down the river.

The picnic bundles feature berry and caramel tartelettes, baby scones with jam and clotted cream, truffle and rosemary focaccia with Spanish ham and more, courtesy of The Luxury Picnic Company.

If that wasn’t enough, guests can also add a complimentary butler to their experience, which means they can enjoy sights such as Hampton Court Palace with their own private captain – who will also be on hand to pour tea.

This afternoon tea picnic can be enjoyed with up to eight people on board – priced at £86.40 for maximum capacity, or £43.20 for four people.

And boats can be hired for one, two or three hours – priced at £95, £134 and £175 respectively.

This means you and seven friends can enjoy the afternoon experience for two hours for £27.55 each.

The boating company also encourages guests to bring their own food and drink aboard, with a picnic bench in the middle of the boat – so you can enjoy your own beverages and snacks, too.

GoBoat co-founder, Grant Sweeney, says: ‘The bumper bank holiday is the perfect time for Brits to try new and exciting ways of spending time with friends and family – as well as celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

‘We’ve worked closely with The Luxury Picnic Company to curate the perfect Jubilee High Tea so our guests can enjoy the festivities in style and get a taste of royal treatment for themselves.’
