This is the heartbreaking final selfie of a mum who tragically died just 17 days after giving birth to her baby boy.

Rebecca Tollan, 23, died after becoming unwell at a house in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, at around 1.15am on Monday, July 15.

Two men, aged 21 and 26, who were in the house at the time were taken to University Hospital Monklands as a precaution but they are not thought to be seriously ill.

Rebecca had posted a photo on Facebook posing in a mirror for a night out hours before she lost her life, the Daily Record reports.

The young mother, from Motherwell, had only just welcomed her newborn son Carter into the world on June 28, the Daily Record reports.
