Groupon is doing five Odeon cinema tickets worth up to £70 for £20 – The Sun

FAMILIES can pick up five Odeon cinema tickets for £20 on Groupon – saving them almost £50 to see the latest blockbuster.

Normally, a full price adult ticket costs up to £13.95, according to, so five of them would set you back up to £69.75.

Ticket prices vary depending on what branch you go to so the savings in the offer might be different.

But in general, children's tickets can cost up to £9.25, up to £10.50 for teens and students, and £11.00 for seniors at the cinema chain.

Family tickets that are valid for either one adult and three children or two adults and two children cost up to £35.60, so you'll still be saving with the Groupon offer.

You can use the tickets all in one go to save money on a group booking or use them separately to see multiple films.

They're only valid for standard seating for 2D screenings  though and must be used before December 17.

How to save money on cinema tickets

A TRIP to the cinema can end up costing a fortune by the time you've paid for your tickets and snacks.

We reveal how you can keep costs down while still being able to catch the latest films.

  • Meerkat Movies: If you take out an insurance policy through Compare the Market, you'll get access to Meetkat Movies and Meals for one year. This gives you buy one get one free on cinema tickets every Tuesday and Wednesay in select venues. Do make sure you're buying a policy you actually need though.
  • Free Movies UK: Sign up to get free preview tickets through the Free Movies UK website. It works under the assumption that if you like the film, you'll probably recommend it to a friend. While sometimes you'll also be asked to give feedback on what you've watched. It's not guaranteed that you'll always get the free tickets you've applied for, so keep that in mind.
  • Show Film First: Show Film First is a somewhat exclusive club that where members can get free access to invite-only events and previews. However, whether or not you get your membership approved is based on where you live and your preferences.
  • Go in the week: Finally, most cinemas tend to lower prices for showings Monday to Thursday. So if you're around in the week to watch a film, you'll avoid paying a weekend premium. For example, VUE cinemas offer discounts as part of a Super Mondays promotion.

Unfortunately, you can't use them to watch every film on at the cinema – Frozen II, Jumanji Next Level, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Cats are excluded from the offer.

If you want to watch Le Mans or Last Christmas, then you'll need to book after November 22.

Groupon it running a similar deal on two cinema tickets for £10, saving you up to £17.90 on two adults tickets.

To get the discount, you'll need to buy the voucher codes from third-party seller, Groupon.

You won't be able to redeem them in branch so you'll have to use the code given to you when making an online booking.

It's worth noting that there is a 75p charge per ticket for online bookings.

You can't use the codes to purchase any premium tickets, such as premier seats or 3D viewings, or on top of any other discount offer.

The discount will work at all 120 Odeon cinemas across the UK except Luxe Leicester Square, BFI IMAX Waterloo and Luxe and Dine Islington. You can find your nearest one here.
