Helen Mirren’s dress is truly fit for a queen.
The actress, 76, wore a ball gown on Sunday, arriving in style via water taxi at Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda Show in Venice.
She looked regal in an elaborate gown featuring an embellished gold corset, sheer sleeves and a skirt printed with Renaissance paintings.
Mirren swept her hair into an updo for the exclusive event, matching her gold earrings to the dress’ ornate bodice.
“The Queen” star’s elegant ensemble quickly set Twitter ablaze, with one tweeting, “no but helen mirren really is the queen,” while another added, “helen mirren serving looks in venice.”
“I saw Helen Mirren trending and got worried. But the Dame is good, just getting some big time appreciation for her forever sexiness,” a third tweeted.
Mirren was in good company at the high-fashion event this weekend, with other famous attendees including Jennifer Lopez, Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Normani and Doja Cat.
The star-studded show – which marked St. Mark’s Square’s first time hosting a runway — featured a performance by Jennifer Hudson and models including Heidi Klum’s daughter Leni Klum hitting the catwalk in couture.
The show comes months after Mirren turned heads in a different Dolce & Gabbana look, wearing an eye-popping yellow gown to the Cannes Film Festival in July.
And the Dame is no stranger to royal entrances; In 2019, she arrived at the premiere of “Catherine the Great” seated in an intricate English sedan chair, carried by four buff men.
But red carpets aren’t the only place she brings the glamour, as Mirren revealed this summer that she even wore makeup every day during the pandemic.
