Justin Bieber will ring in 2021 with a New Year’s Eve concert at the Beverly Hilton hotel, sources exclusively tell Page Six. But some Beverly Hills residents said the show already had their ears ringing on Wednesday during a soundcheck.

The “Yummy” singer is making his first live stage appearance since 2017 with the “NYE Live” gig that will stream digitally at 10:15 p.m. before re-airing twice on New Year’s Day. The location for the show has been kept strictly under wraps — with a press release saying only that it will be held at an “iconic” location. But we hear it’ll be outdoors at the famed Beverly Hilton, where giant scaffolding, sound equipment, and lighting gear was erected this week prior to the event, spies said.

Bieber was also photographed rehearsing on the mystery set on Wednesday.

But one annoyed local told us that a Bieber soundcheck was not music to their ears. “It was like a car was parked outside of my house blasting music at one million decibels,” the source said. “Many people in the neighborhood called the hotel [to complain], and the hotel referred them to the Beverly Hills police, and permit department.”

A Beverly Hills police spokesperson told Page Six when we asked about the Bieber show, and any noise complaints: “There were no calls for service from residents to the Beverly Hills Police Department. Any noise complaints are being referred to the film/permit office. This is an independent production that has obtained proper permitting. It is not City sponsored so we don’t have any additional detail to provide.”

Reps for Bieber, the hotel, and Beverly Hills did not get back to us.

The Beverly Hilton recently underwent a $35 million renovation. Sources speculated to us that Bieber could perform by its iconic outdoor pool.

Ironically, Bieber and his wife, Hailey, recently moved out of the neighborhood themselves: They put their Beverly Hills mansion on the market in October for $9 million, Variety reported, 19 months after buying the spread that’s next door to Jeff Bezos’ compound. The star couple has reportedly moved to a bigger manse above Beverly Hills, in a gated community.

Bieber previously said of the “NYE Live” show, sponsored by T-Mobile, in a statement: “We’re working on more surprises to watch out for during this special night. I can’t wait to partner on this epic New Year’s Eve concert with them, and give everyone a safe way to kick 2020 out the door, together.”

Seems like some neighbors just want to end the year on a quieter note.

Bieber is one of a number of major music acts putting on New Year’s Eve shows, including BTS, Post Malone, Kiss and Kylie Minogue. He’s been teasing rehearsals for his show on social media, showing off his dance moves. Reports have said that the show will practice strict COVID safety guidelines.
