In the centre she then folded one ribbon strand upwards creating a right angle and continued to wrap the ribbon vertically.

Next, the long strand was tucked under the cross intersection in the middle and secured with a gentle pull.

She then tied the bow and trimmed the ends of the ribbon, creating a stunning luxurious presentation.

The short video has since wracked up more than 3,000 ‘likes’ and over 49,000 views, with many dubbing it as a ‘great tutorial’.

The simple DIY is the perfect alternative to buying expensive decorative bows often costing up to $8 each.

Melbourne mum Natasha, who goes by the name ‘Effective Spaces’ online, shared a video demonstrating how to make the perfect bow.

At first glance the DIY looks difficult to do, but after a few quick attempts the homemade bows are easy to master.

In the clip she began by lining the red ribbon over her two forefingers, then using her other hand she wrapped it between her fingers three times

The second strand was then pulled down to meet the first strand and the perfect small bow was formed.
