Nothing says “I’m sorry” quite like Chanel.
In a new Rolling Stone interview, Paris Hilton reveals she kept her and husband Carter Reum’s baby boy, Phoenix Barron Hilton-Reum, a secret from everyone – including her mother, Kathy Hilton.
Paris lessened the blow by presenting her with a blue Chanel bag before introducing her to her grandson for the first time.
“I was like, if I give her Chanel first, maybe she won’t be so upset that I didn’t tell her about this,” the DJ said.
And the story has a sweet ending, with or without the designer wares.
“I was holding the baby on my shoulder with a blanket over him, and then I just sat down. She’s like, ‘What is that?’ And I was like, ‘A baby … meet your grandson,’” Paris recalled.

“She’s like, ‘Is this yours?’ And she starts crying. She’s like, ‘Let me hold him. He’s the most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen in my life. Oh, he’s so beautiful.’ She was just in tears.”
Paris, who welcomed baby Phoenix in January via surrogate, kept her son’s arrival private from everyone until a week after he was born.
The only people aware were the medical team and the surrogate, who Rolling Stone noted watched old episodes of “The Simple Life” to get the baby used to his mom’s voice.
Since the secrecy stopped, it’s been a family affair. The “Stars Are Blind” singer shared a sweet snap with Phoenix and Kathy in February, and sister Nicky Hilton told Page Six she taught Paris how to change a diaper, adding, “Paris was made to be a mom!”
One member of the extended family who has yet to meet Paris’ baby boy, however, is her aunt Kyle Richards, as she’s been embroiled in ongoing drama with fellow “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kathy.
