On July 6, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gathered with close family and friends for the christening of their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The “intimate” ceremony went down at Queen Elizabeth’s private chapel at Windsor Castle. Roughly 25 people attended, including Prince Charles and Camilla, and Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland.
Prince William was there, too. They all posed for a group photo, which has people talking. While many of the royals flaunted smiles, the Duke of Cambridge sported what people are calling a “sour” facial expression.
This photo is prompting criticism
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released two photos from the religious milestone. One shows them cuddling their newborn son, and the other is a family portrait. The latter features the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Camilla, Ragland, and two of Princess Diana’s siblings, Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale.

What people are saying
As you can see, just about everyone in the photo beamed, flaunting ear-to-ear smiles. Prince William, however, appeared to be more, um, chill. He stood firmly with his hands clasped in front of him, giving what some social media users call a “strained” and “sour” facial expression.
“Oh man, the look on Prince William’s face….,” one person tweeted. Another added, “William looks so sour in the face!”
Body language expert Judi James offered some thoughts to The Daily Mail, telling the publication that his pose is hard to “fathom.”
“William’s pose behind [Kate] looks harder to fathom out as it seems to show the prince in nightclub bouncer mode. The fig-leaf hand gesture, head tilt and rather evaluating facial expression and knowing smile all bear the hallmarks of a man who won’t let you into the venue until you produce some ID,” James explained.
She continued, “Harry’s chosen shot of his brother at his wedding did seem to make William look oddly furtive behind him so perhaps there’s a theme emerging here. The contrast with the proudly-beaming Charles and Doria is acute but again, it could reflect a moment of quiet, contemplative sibling pleasure for William.” She also suggested that there may be other photos showing Prince William with a different attitude.

The Sussexes and the Cambridges have reportedly been feuding
Reports say that the brothers have been feuding since Prince Harry got engaged to Markle back in 2017. According to Vanity Fair, they “fell out after William voiced his concerns that Harry’s relationship with Meghan was moving too quickly.”
“Harry also felt that William and Kate [Middleton] hadn’t made enough effort with Meghan. At one stage the situation between Harry and William was so strained that they were not on speaking terms,” the report continued.
But a source said that things are “much better” following the May 6 birth of baby Archie. That makes sense if the reports are true. We mean, look at how adorable Archie is:
