Sainsbury’s Nectar card points are a perk enjoyed by many who shop in the supermarket. Some customers will now be able to get extra points if they sign up for Sainsbury’s Bank Nectar credit card.

Customers can collect points when they present their Nectar card while shopping in stores.

Points earned can be exchanged for deals on brands including Argos, eBay, ASOS and in Sainsbury’s stores.

Sainsbury’s Bank has now updated the deals available with its Nectar credit card.

Those who sign up will be treated to enhanced Nectar offers.

How does it work?

Sainsbury’s customers qualify for the deal if they sign up for a Sainsbury’s Bank Nectar credit card.

Shoppers then get the opportunity to collect 10,000 Nectar points, which are worth £50.

They can get the bonus if they spend more than £400 in Sainsbury’s, Tu Clothing or Argos in the first two months after opening the account.

The credit card also offers more incentives for those who regularly collect Nectar points.

Shoppers who use the card along with their Nectar card will earn up to three points for every £1 spent.

This applies when shopping in Sainsbury’s, Tu Clothing or Argos.

Customers will earn one point per £5 spent when using the credit card in other retailers.

Jason King, Customer Director at Sainsbury’s Bank said: “We’re committed to helping Sainsbury’s customers get the best value from their credit cards.

“Our new Sainsbury’s Bank Nectar Credit Card offer means customers could be collecting significantly more points on their everyday shopping, whether this is buying their weekly groceries or getting ahead on the Christmas list.”

Without the credit card, Nectar card holders still get a great deal of one point for every £1 spent in store or online.

They can also bank one point for every litre of fuel purchased in Sainsbury’s stations.

Every 500 points collected is worth £2.50 and the points can be used like money in Sainsbury’s store.

They can also be spent in Vue cinemas and in Argos stores.

Points earned can also be exchanged for perks including days out and holidays.
