It's no secret that weddings costs a small fortune, so we are all for any way to save precious pennies whilst planning your dream day.
There are many ways to cut down costs at weddings – from hosting in your garden to cutting back on food and getting guests to bring their own booze – but have you ever thought about renting your wedding and bridesmaid dresses?
Whilst a few years ago the idea of renting any dress, let alone your wedding dress, seemed ludicrous, as the world has moved towards more sustainable options, the rise of rental fashion has gained a huge following.
Just last summer, Prime Minister Boris Johnson's new wife Carrie Symonds made headlines as she rented her Christos Costarellos wedding dress from My Wardrobe HQ.
And now, Rental service The Devout has partnered with Whistles to launch a number of stunning wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses on its membership platform.
The £39-a-month option gives you access to three pieces of clothing per month – which is perfect for any bride with a small bridal party.
Other membership prices include five items per month for £59, or a whopping 10 items per month for £99 – either way these are amazing savings when the average price of a wedding dress in the UK is almost £3,000.
The rental service has three wedding dresses and two bridesmaids dresses to chose from.
The company also offer a wet cleaning service as part of the package, so you needn't worry about damage or spills on your special day.
The three wedding dresses to chose from all retail at £499, and The Devout also offer brides all the information they need, with a guide to how the gowns – available in sixes eight to 16 – fit.
The all-inclusive membership, which features laundry, delivery and collection, can be enjoyed on a rolling basis or as a one-off.
The affordable memberships allow you to shop multiple pieces of clothing in multiple sizes, and if something doesn’t suit or fit, you can exchange your items within 48 hours of receiving your box for just £10..
