Britney Spears goes topless as husband gives guarded approval

Britney Spears has added a series of new topless shots to her social media account – with her husband Sam Asghari frowning at her actions but defending his wife's right to express herself.

The singer, 41, posted a series of pictures in which she had her hands or hair covering her breasts, or hiding most of her modesty with graphics of flowers and lips.

Sam, 28: said: "The only person in the world that gets bullied for posting things like this," adding: "I personally prefer she never posted these, but who am I to control someone that’s been under a microscope and been controlled their whole life."

In her caption, Britney, who has 41.6 million Instagram followers, suggested that while living in Los Angeles, "traveling and seeing the world" was a way to find peace in one's mental health.

The Toxic star also commented on the use of social media, comparing it to connecting with nature, saying: "And know s****ing in a field with Mother Nature is one of the best connections there is!!! Cause you finally expose your A** to the world!!!"

Earlier in the week, the Oops!… I Did It Again singer took to Instagram wearing nothing but a pair of red bikini bottoms as she writhed around while holding her cleavage with her hands and dancing.

Her caption said: "41 and finally expressing my freedom has never felt better!!! Learning to love myself has become my passion this year… I'd rather be in my skin than wear my skin!!!"

Socialite Paris Hilton praised her pal, but YouTube star Freelee Banana Girl referred to Britney's 13-year conservatorship which ended in November last year and claimed it could return.

Shes said: "With videos like this watch out the conservatorship may make a comeback."

However, another fan defended Britney, explaining: "Understand that this woman was under control for over a decade. She finally has control over what she posts. If you don't like what she posts, unfollow. That’s it."
