BTS Promise to Return With 'Even Greater Music' After Their Grammy Loss

BTS received their first Grammy nomination for the 2021 Grammy Awards. The Korean band was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song “Dynamite.” While BTS lost the award to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s song “Rain On Me,” the septet promised they will release even better music to be nominated for in the future.

BTS was nominated for their first Grammy Award

Before being nominated, BTS had presented at the 2019 Grammy Awards and performed the “Old Town Road All-Stars” medley with Billy Ray Cyrus, Lil Nas X, Diplo, and Mason Ramsey at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

With both of these accomplishments, the K-pop group became the first Korean act to present at the Grammy Awards and the first Korean act to perform at the Grammy Awards.

BTS experienced monumental achievements again when they were nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Dynamite” and selected to perform at the Grammy Awards again.

The septet was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance alongside J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, and Tainy with “UN DIA (ONE DAY),” Justin Bieber and Quavo for “Intentions,” Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande with “Rain On Me,” and Taylor Swift and Bon Iver for “exile.”

Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande were announced as the winners of Best Pop Duo/Group Performance during the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony.

The band teased new music on the Grammy red carpet

On the red carpet before the 2021 Grammy Awards, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook of BTS were interviewed by E! News.

In the interview, Jin and V shared a message for ARMY via a translator, saying:

“We really want to see ARMY now and I’m sure ARMY are feeling the same emotions that we’re feeling. So we’ll be back with even greater music and good performances, even better music. We’ll work hard for this next year as well and then we’ll be back with great music and great performances that you can look forward to.”

RM also shared how grateful the band members are for being nominated for their first Grammy Award.

“So this is a very memorable night for us of course because we’ve always wanted to perform there, especially the performance of course,” RM told E! News. “It’s just an honor to be part of this amazing night.”

RM previously hinted BTS have a lot of new music planned

Days before the 2021 Grammy Awards, BTS sat down with ET Canada. During the interview, RM shared that the members of BTS were all working on new music.

“Yes, we are working on our new music, and everybody is too for their solo or singles and like personally,” RM said. “ARMYs can expect many things from us for this year too.”

Based on this, ARMY can expect solo and group releases from the BTS members in the coming year.
