This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes has provided fans with an update on his current health condition, after being admitted to hospital with a "mystery illness".
On Thursday afternoon, Eamonn, 61, took to Twitter to inform fans of his hospital admission as he had previously been suffering from ongoing chronic pain.
The star posted a pic on his platform wearing a mask and said: "At Hospital ….. pain like I've never experienced in my life. Need to find out what's causing this. Wish me well."
In the early hours of Friday morning, though Eamonn confessed he was still unclear of what was causing him pain, the presenter brought fans up to date on his health.
Taking to Twitter he wrote: "Will have clearer picture of what's causing my pain tomorrow but just to say folks, like so many of you I've lived with variations of Chronic pain for years.
"Don't allow it to stop me working & next week I'd like to be a voice for many of u & discuss the subject on @thismorning."
Fans of the star couldn’t help but display their love and support to the This Morning presenter and wrote comments of encouragement under his post.
Many also agreed that there should be more conversation on the subject of chronic pain, as it’s often a medical condition that is overlooked.
One fan wrote: “Thank you for speaking up, sometimes we feel like our voice is lost when it comes to living with this. We all put on a smile and get on with it despite being in agony. It will be great to have you highlight this topic and hopefully get a bigger conversation started.”
Another fan penned: “The trouble is when you have chronic pain they put any symptom down to 'oh well you have chronic pain (fibromyalgia for me). That’s why your arm/leg etc is bad”. They don’t investigate much once you’ve got the tag. Stay well' x”
While another added: “I don’t think many understand how chronic pain and lack of sleep affects a lot of us and the impact it has on everything you do. #Painsomina”
Eamonn has been very open to fans regarding his health for quite some time. The father of four even posted a pic of himself receiving physio on March 30.
The former Talk Radio host underwent a double hip operation in 2016 but has revealed he still feels discomfort despite doing the surgery.
