Emmerdale star Amy Walsh and EastEnders' Toby Alexander Smith are expecting their first child together.
The real-life soap couple met in the audience of Strictly Come Dancing back in 2019 and moved in together after just four months because of lockdown.
They have now revealed they are set to become parents and will be welcoming their bundle of joy in the near future.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Amy said: "We're so excited to become parents.
"It feels as though the way everything happened was meant to be. I thought I might struggle with fertility, so for pregnancy to happen quite easily and when I wanted – I was gobsmacked. We feel incredibly lucky."
Amy, 34, is the sister of Girls Aloud star Kimberley and was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries when she was 20 years old, she feared she may struggle to conceive.
She told the publication: "I always thought falling pregnant was going to be a battle. Toby knew how worried I was, especially as I’m a bit older.
"I did wonder if it would ever happen for me, so it feels like a blessing."
Rumours began to circulate that Toby-Alexander had a new love interest in December 2019 after he was spotted out on a date in London with Amy.
It wasn't long before Toby-Alexander and Amy went Instagram official after she posted a selfie of them together onto her story.
An insider told The Sun at the time: "It’s early days but they really like each other.
"They’re both very busy with packed work schedules at opposite ends of the country, but they try to spend as much time together as they can."
The couple celebrated Toby's 30th during lockdown and Amy took to Instagram to share a sweet snap with her beau.
Toby, who plays villain Gray Atkins in the BBC One soap, shared the snap on his page too and wrote the caption: “Thank you for making it so special.”
Two years ago Amy announced her split from her fiancé Bradley Jaden.
The news came a year after he proposed to the actress in Thailand.
Amy often shares her family photos on her social media feeds and dotes on both of her sisters' children.
Quickly finding her place in the chaotic Yorkshire village, Amy joined Emmerdale as Tracy Metcalfe in 2014.
