Gordon Ramsay has offered to plump up the cash to fund one couple’s wedding after he and his TV production crew 'gatecrashed' their big day.
The devastated couple’s wedding was turned into a day from hell after Gordon commandeered use of the venue’s kitchens to film for his new show Future Food Stars.
The couple were left fuming after their wedding meal – which cost £50 a head – was left "cheap and nasty" after Gordon had taken over the kitchen.
Plumbing merchant Charlie and healthcare assistant Laura Willis stumped up a whopping £1,300 for the ceremony and gourmet meal for six on a private beach last month.
But Gordon was busy filming in Newquay, Cornwall, close to their venue of Lusty Glaze beach for his new cooking show.
It seemed that plumbing merchant Charlie wasn’t taking is too badly, as he quipped: "The whole thing was a complete kitchen nightmare."
But he soberly told The Sun: "We had both worked so hard to save for that day and we felt like extras on a gameshow."
Gordon later paid the £1,300 in full as a gesture of goodwill.
The Kitchen Nightmares star later tweeted in response to a report by Mail Online: "Must’ve missed the part where my crew and I ruined the wedding… Congrats on a beautiful marriage."
He even offered the couple a night at the Savoy Grill on the house, adding: "I’ll try not to ruin it."
The couple later received a letter from Sharon Powers, the Executive Producer on the show, who apologised for the chaos the programme had caused.
It read: "I am writing to apologise for the upset that our filming caused you on your Wedding Day at Lusty Glaze beach.
"I am mortified that we affected your special day and I can assure you that it was never our intention to upset you or your guests."
It continued: "As you are aware, we have now paid for your wedding in full, which I hope goes some way towards making amends and acknowledging how sorry I am that your special day was affected, albeit unintentionally, by us.

A spokesman for Lusty Glaze beach told The Sun that the above circumstances were "very unusual" – but the wedding party hadn’t secured exclusive use of the beach for their ceremony.
