Holly Willoughby has confessed she completely broke down while filming I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! when she spent a month away from her family “for the first time in years".
The 40-year-old opened up about her struggled with being independent while she shot the hit ITV series back in 2018.
When the This Morning presenter filled in for Ant McPartlin, she didn’t expect to feel so lost without needing to care for her young children or support her loving husband.
Now three years later, the doting mum-of-three has shared her experience from her time in Australia in an effort to help others who are feeling the way she did.
In her self-help book, Reflections, the Dancing On Ice host revealed how the trip down under helped her to rediscover herself away from the responsibilities as a wife and mother.
She told readers: “A turning point for me was when I went to Australia to film I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
“We had a big show to film, which was hugely focused on but at the same time, when I walked into the apartment I would be staying in for two weeks and shut the door; I realised I was completely on my own for the first time in years.
“I didn’t have to worry about anyone’s bedtime or bath time, I only had to feed myself. I was in this beautiful country by the beach and I thought, ‘Right, I am the luckiest woman alive right now and I'm going to make the most of it’.
She added: “I stayed not far from Queensland’s Byron Bay, which is the land of alternative therapies, and I decided that I was going to try whatever I came across.”
It was then that the blonde bombshell opened up to the spiritual practice of Kinesiology which is used to help centre the body through the use of muscle tests when life gets too much to handle.
She divulged in her collection of inspirational life lessons how the practice gave her a “deep sense of relief” that subconsciously “brought me to tears".
Holly explained: “Kinesiology uses gentle muscle tests to get an understanding of what’s going on in your body, not just in terms of strength of your muscles but also the flow of energy around your body, sometimes called chi.
“This practitioner was particularly spiritual. She talked to me, asking me questions and performing different muscle tests as she spoke.
“She intuited things about me that she would have no way of otherwise knowing – about my health, my past, my emotions."
She concluded: “Something opened up for me that day. I felt a deep sense of relief within my body that brought me to tears.”
