Jesy Nelsons love life – Diversity hunk, Loose Womans son and Love Islander

Jesy Nelson has certainly had her ups and downs since auditioning for The X Factor back in 2011 and then joining Little Mix – and her love life is no different.

The Essex native has long been vocal about her struggles with fame though and how she almost had a nervous breakdown due to hideous trolls mocking her weight and looks and constantly comparing her to her bandmates.

But Jesy has come out the other side and is now an established solo artist with a collaboration with Nikki Minaj under her belt.

She also made a powerful documentary about online bullying and bravely opened up about the fact she considered suicide as it got so bad.

Jesy has said she is now happy with how she looks and is in a better place, career-wise.

But Jesy's love life hasn't been quite as successful.

She's has had a string of high profile beaus and has even been engaged – but is believed to be single, currently.

As she turns 31, we take a look at the stunning singer’s colourful relationship history.

Jordan Banjo – 2012-2014

Jesy dated 29-year-old Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo way back when from 2012 to 2014.

Look how fresh-faced they look.

Both were just starting out after winning various Simon Cowell-backed talent shows, so they had that in common, but parted ways after two years due to their busy schedules and him struggling to cope with her fame.

Jordan is now loved up with brunette beauty Naomi Courts, and the duo got engaged in 2020, with the wedding delayed due to Covid.

Jake Roche – 2014-2016

This one had an engagement.

Jesy dated Rixton – now Push Baby – singer Jake Roche from 2014 and he even got Ed Sheeran to serenade her while he proposed.

Jake, the son of Coleen Nolan and Shane Richie, never exchanged vows but Coleen has said the pair are still pals.

There was rumours too that Jesy wanted children but Jake, then 24, thought he was too young.

TOWIE's Chris Clark – 2017

Jesy and Chris Clark did appear to be very loved up, but it didn’t end well.

The reality star famously dumped her by text – from another woman’s phone, no less.

Chris binned Jesy to get back with his TOWIE ex Amber Dowding and claim he had no choice but to do it by text as she was away touring.

He has since said: “I was never going to escape it. I had to just deal with it.”

Naturally, Jesy deleted all evidence from Instagram. Next!

Harry James – 2017-2018

After Chris, Jesy met rapper/songwriter/photographer Harry James, also from Essex, and the pair were said to be inseparable and enjoyed lavish holidays together.

He also photographed Jesy for several sexy magazine shoots, including Glamour.

There wasn’t any drama and the pair quietly split in 2018 and are still mates.

In fact, they were so close that they were rumoured to have rekindled their romance in 2021 after they were seen on holiday in the Caribbean together.

Chris Hughes – 2019-2020

The sexy pair met in 2019 apparently and soon moved in with each other.

Hilariously, the news of their romance broke after they were spotted snogging in a kebab shop.

Most significantly, Chris Hughes features in Jesy’s doc Odd One Out, saying how proud he was of his girlfriend.

Despite lots of gushing about each other in interviews and even a pregnancy rumour, Jesy and Chris split in April 2020 and discreetly unfollowed each other on social media.

Sean Sagar – 2020-2021

Our Girls actor Sean Sagar and Jesy were linked following her split from Chris and they shared cute couple pictures on Instagram but are believed to have split not long after.

She later spoke of their romance with the Guardian, saying: "With my ex, it was the first time I’d been with someone where I wasn’t in control. I fell madly in love with him.

"Let’s just say it was nothing like how I’d been treated before. I thought that’s what I wanted.

"I wanted to be kept on my toes and have that chase, and hand on my heart I don’t ever want that again."
