Veteran actress Joan Collins looked relaxed and radiant as she shared a snap from her sun-kissed holiday in the south of France wearing a large fedora.

The 89-year-old is known for her glamorous appearance and her holiday posts kept this up – without lashings of make-up

In her selfie posted on Instagram, she could be seen wearing her hat, along with a coral necklace and matching earrings.

She captioned the snap in view of her 278,000 Instagram followers: "I love a fedora! Best for the heat and keep the sun off your face!"

Social media users complimented the star. One said: "Beautiful, eternally Fabulous as always."

Another posted: "You have still got it Joan!" A third commented on her hat, saying: "They were invented for you Joan. You always look fabulous in one."

The mum-of-three has been married to her husband Percy Gibson since 2002, having had four previous marriages.

The star, best known for her role in the 1980s US soap Dynasty, had looked amazing in pastel pink as she attended the Queen's Platinum Jubilee pageant with her husband earlier this month.

She is one of the last surviving stars of Hollywood's mid-twentieth century 'golden age', having risen to fame in the fifties in films such as Land Of The Pharaohs, The Wayward Bus and Esther and The King.

During the sixties and seventies she also appeared in TV series and films including Tales From The Crypt, Empire Of The Ants and The Stud, based on sister Jackie Collins' best selling book.

The English actress continues to work to this day, and has an eye-watering estimated net worth of £16million.
