Kanye West, 46, faced massive backlash from his opening tweet after Twitter lifted the ban on his profile.
The rapper – who legally goes by the name Ye – was banned from the platform for six weeks for posting an anti-Semitic message.
On November 16, Kanye returned and tweeted: “Testing Testing Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked,” the American singer then posted: “Shalom : ).”

Shalom is a Hebrew word meaning “peace” that is also used as a greeting.
To which Twitter CEO Elon Musk replied: “Don’t kill what ye hate. Save what ye love”.
However, fans shared their reaction to Ye’s return to the platform, with many calling him out as they believed him to be “sarcastic”.
One Twitter user replied: “Can you please just leave us alone?”
Another responded: “So now it’s a joke? This is just so ridiculous.”
“Can you… not?” another user chimed in, as one person added: “Not funny, an antisemite. Go away. You are universally hated.”
One critic said: “Nothing funny about hate.”
It comes after Kanye was accused of going on a “racist” tirade where he faced major backlash for posting an anti-Semitic message on the app.
In the since-deleted post, the Yeezy founder wrote that he was “sleepy” but planned “to go death con 3 ON JEWISH PEOPLE” when he woke up.
He continued: “The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew. Also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”
Kanye’s Twitter and Instagram were then restricted, with celebrities like Friends star David Schwimmer and comedian Amy Schumer calling him out.
Following the universal uproar over his tweets, Kanye was dropped by the talent agency CAA, Luxury fashion brand Balenciaga and Adidas.
