Love Island's Liam Reardon was roasted by fans of the show after a slight memory lapse left the Welshman making wild claims during a date with partner Millie Court.
While celebrating his birthday at a romantic dinner on Friday's show ahead of the final on Monday the 22-year-old stepped up the romantic sentiments, reports The Sun.
Telling Millie how he first fell in love with her smile, then her "piercing blue eyes" and finally her laugh, Liam also announced to 24-year-old from Essex that he'd move closer to her.
However fans of Love Island were left baffled when Liam declared: "I can't remember a time where it wasn't you and me".
Not to be hoodwinked by the Tom Jones wannabee fans of the programme set to work pointing out exactly how it wasn't always Liam and Millie.
One viewer wrote on Twitter: "I can't remember a time when we weren't you and me' hmmm Liam are you SURE????"
Another backed Millie and added: "Liam can't remember a time when it wasn't him and Millie??! Does this man have memory loss? It was only over two weeks ago you had your tongue down Lillie's throat."

While a third commented: "Oh that’s funny Liam, because I can remember a time where it wasn’t you and her… A few weeks ago on your lads holiday."
And finally a fourth said: "Liam making out with Lillie 2 weeks ago but now claiming he loves Millie and “when you know you know”.
Liam's critics were referencing his time at Casa Amor where he fell for contestant Lillie Haynes and snogged the blonde beauty outside of a challenge.

While Liam returned to the villa on his own Millie was left broken hearted after his behaviour, which included sleeping in the same bed as Lillie, came to light.
Over the following days Millie decided to forgive Liam for his actions and the twosome have gone from strength to strength.
Things are set to get even more emotional when the show returns on Sunday, as the islanders get ready for the meet the parents challenge.
It means Millie and Liam's families will finally get to meet face-to-face after Liam's antics with Lillie in Casa Amor.
