Raciest BAFTA wardrobe malfunctions – Rochelle Humes, Margot Robbie to Lily Depp

The British Academy of Film and Television Awards will be dominating screens on Sunday (March 13) and the hype around the hottest red carpet looks has already been growing.

It has to be said that the red carpet entrance is everything to many spectators who are waiting in the wings to see celebs wearing the hottest designer looks of the season.

With much hype mounting as we all prepare for the long awaited glitzy bash, Daily Star is glancing back at some of the outfit mishaps – with ensembles that didn't quite run to plan.

From towering heels caught in floor-length gown, accidental see-through dresses and a slashed illusional frock causing controversy – we've got it all.

Margot Robbie

Floor-length dresses and towering stilettos are always going to be risky combination on any red carpet.

Although Margot Robbie is a seasoned expert when it comes to showing up to glitzy events – even the actress managed to get caught up in her gown.

At the 2018 British Academy Film Awards the Australian star managed to get her Givenchy ensemble caught up beneath her heels.

It proved to be a minor faux pas that was swiftly rectified as she readjusted the material to avoid a tragic fall in front of the cameras.

Scarlett Johansson

When it comes to leaving the BAFTA's afterparty the key for most celebs is to make a swift exit with an elegant entrance into a waiting car.

While Scarlett Johansson did do just that at the 2020 bash, she also failed to notice a wardrobe malfunction as made her way into the vehicle.

The actress put on a leggy display as she rocked a tailor-fit black blazer mini-dress and a pair of sheet tights that were laddered from her ankle to her thigh.

It didn't matter that there had been a slight mishap with her ensemble as the starlet still looked stunning rocking a sleek up-do.

Lily Rose Depp

2020 appeared to be the year to wear all black – if many of the celebs in attendance were anything to go by that is.

Johnny Depp's daughter was one starlet who appeared to get the memo and opting for an elegant frock made entirely of lace.

The youngster stunned on the black carpet posing up a storm in her ballgown but eagle-eyed on-lookers spotted one slight issue with her attire that was designed by the fashion house Chanel.

Standing under the bright lights, Lily's dress appeared to be totally see-through which left very little to the imagination.

Rochelle Humes

Rochelle Humes looked hotter than ever as she blew minds with her fabulous plunging black gown to the British Academy for Film and Television Awards in 2019.

The floaty number boasted weightless material that flowed to her feet and featured a daring side slit to showcase her slender thighs.

However, there had been a slight faux pas with the design of The Saturdays singer's attire, with her frock not being fit for all weather types.

As a gust of wind billowed around on the red carpet, Rochelle proved to have reflex's like a cat as she clutched at her dress, just managing to prevent her lingerie from coming into view.

Laura Whitmore

In 2014, Love island host Laura Whitmore caused a storm as she rocked a transparent white frock to the swanky award ceremony.

Wearing a light coloured frock with no bra is always going to draw the attention and Laura did just that.

Her dress however was incredible and fitted her slender curves like a glove.

She wowed in the halter and floor-length ensemble and teaming her look with an elegant pearl clutchbag.

Marion Cotillard

French actress Marion Cotillard baffled everyone in 2013 when she stepped out in a yellow strapless number that appeared to be torn.

The media went wild believing that Marion had suffered a similar wardrobe mishap to Jennifer Lawrence's split dress at the SAG Awards in the same year.

However, it later became apparent that her yellow outfit had been purposefully slashed with sheer panelling to showcase her killer thighs – causing much confusion at the time.
