Motsi Mabuse has expressed her "heartbreak" as she fears for her family who are currently stranded and unable to flee Ukraine.

The 40-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star has taken to Twitter to express her pain and deep upset after her mother-in-law phoned her in floods of tears as President Putin positioned 200,000 Russian troops in and around Ukraine.

The Russian leader demanded that Ukraine's military lay down its arms as they stormed the country by land, air and sea after pre-dawn firing missiles.

After the news broke, terrified Motsi made contact with her loved ones only to be met with sobs which left her feeling totally helpless.
