Strictly fans have been waiting to find out which film songs the couples will be dancing to for the highly-anticipated Movie Week. Dubbed one of the favourite weeks in the Strictly Come Dancing calendar, BBC viewers are expecting the contestants to give it their all. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about where the couples are placed on the leaderboard.
Who is at the top of the Strictly leaderboard?
Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe
Ellie and Johannes are dancing the Cha Cha Cha to The Shoop Shoop Song (It’s In His Kiss) from Mermaids.
Last week they scored a total of 23 points and sat in the middle of the leaderboard, and they hoped to up their score during Movie Week.
Taking to Instagram to tease her next routine, she said: “Onwards to movie week and a veryyyy different vibe with a cheeky Cha Cha (Ps on that note, I would like to request a formal enquiry into why an earth any dance would ever start on a 2 – absolutely bats.” [Sic]
Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin
Ellie and Nikita are definitely ones to watch after they were praised by the judges for their beautiful connection.
The Paralympic star was left in tears after her emotional performance and hopes to have the same impact on the audience this week.
With a score of 30 points in week two, she has set herself in good stead for reaching the final.
This week they are dancing the Quickstep to Peppy and George from The Artist.
Richie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice -27
Richie was branded the perfect showman after his star-studded performance with Giovanni last week.
He could not stop thanking his professional partner for helping him put on a great show and he was excited to see what was to come.
This week they are dancing a tricky Samba to Hakuna Matata from The Lion King.
Shirley Ballas said it was one of their best numbers so far and said they had “lovely bounce”.
Craig gave a score of five, with Motsi seven, Shirley eight and Anton seven.
Fleur East and Vito Coppola
Fleur was in tears after her heartfelt performance last week and she is serious about reaching the top.
This week she will be dancing the American Smooth to Part Of Your World from The Little Mermaid.
She gushed over the song choice, saying the Disney film had been her absolute favourite for many years.
The singer is more determined than ever to get this dance perfect for the judges.
Helen Skelton and Gorka Márquez
Helen will be taking on an emotionally-charged performance this week as she dances the Viennese Waltz to Hopelessly Devoted To You from Grease.
The presenter is one of the favourites to win the competition but she is not letting the pressure get to her.
She and Gorka are ready to pull on the judges’ heartstrings with their performance.
Tony Adams and Katya Jones
Tony will be taking on one of the trickiest dances during Movie Week, with the Samba.
He and Katya will be dancing to You Sexy Thing from The Full Monty, which should make for an entertaining performance.
Having recognised his mistakes from last week, Tony is ready to step up his game and show the judges he is ready to learn.
Jayde Adams and Karen Hauer
Fan-favourites Jayde and Karen have impressed the judges so far as one of the show’s same-sex couples.
This week they are dancing the Cha Cha Cha to What A Feeling from Flashdance and the pair have been training hard.
Sharing a photo on her Instagram of the couple sitting back to back on the dance studio floor, she said: “Flashdanced out.”
Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima
Graziano was thrilled with his partner Kym’s performance last week, calling it “beautiful”.
Kym could not help but show her nerves, admitting she did not look forward to taking to the dancefloor.
However, she loved the sense of achievement that came after her performances and is ready to keep pushing forward.
This week they are dancing the Charleston to If My Friends Could See Me Now from Sweet Charity.
Tyler West and Dianne Buswell
Tyler and Dianne won over the hearts of the judges last week and they are ready to pull out all the stops again.
Tyler is definitely a hard worker, having completed the London Marathon shortly after taking to the dancefloor.
This week the couple will be dancing the Charleston to Flash, Bang, Wollop! from Half a Sixpence.

Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu – 34
Molly has shown that she may be the youngest contestant, but she is fierce competition.
She and her partner, newcomer Carlos Gu, wowed the judges with their quickstep last week and they are ready to impress again.
For Movie Week they will be tackling the Waltz to One Hand, One Heart from West Side Story.
Anton said Molly was beautiful to watch, saying: “It’s perfect for Movie Week, your footwork was very good. Moving forward I think you could do a bit more in hold to show your quality.”
She was also praised by Shirley for her “beautiful frame”.
Craig gave an eight, with Motsi a nine, Shirley a nine and Anton eight.
Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal
Fan-favourite Hamza has been a dark horse in the competition so far and he is growing from strength to strength.
This week he will be dancing the Rumba to the theme song from Jurassic Park.
The song choice sparked concern amongst his fans, who felt it was not possible to perform to.
Hopefully he will prove his doubters wrong and make it through to next week.
Will Mellor and Nancy Xu
Favourite to win, Will Mellor is facing the pressure as he is odds-on to lift the Glitterball Trophy.
This week he admitted he was worried about having to be more graceful for his American Smooth.
He will be dancing to Cry To Me from Dirty Dancing and said he absolutely loved the film.
James Bye and Amy Dowden
James has had a difficult time so far, finding himself near the bottom of the leaderboard with Amy.
He is hoping to see signs of improvement this week as he finds his feet with the Cha Cha Cha.
The couple will be dancing to Hooked On A Feeling from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova
Matt is the bookies’ favourite to be axed from the competition this week, so he will be feeling the pressure.
He and Nadiya will be dancing the Viennese Waltz to Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick.
The star is more determined than ever to prove he is a serious contender.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One with the results show on Sunday.
