After first premiering in 2013, Below Deck became a huge hit and Bravo’s best-rated show. With a premature end to season eight, fans have been gearing up for another season of the drama and it turns out Chief Stew Heather Chase is well-known amongst some members of the crew.

Heather Chase will be joining the crew in the upcoming season as one of the newest members on board and as Chief Stew.

As the new leader, viewers can expect her to lead the stewards and have the highest level of service.

While she is a new face to loyal fans who have tuned in since 2013, it was revealed Heather is well known amongst the crew from spin-off series, Below Deck Mediterranean.

Alex Radcliffe, who appeared in season five of the series, took to Instagram to congratulate the latest Chief Stew on her new role.

The Below Deck alum shared his excitement with a snap of the two, captioned: “So pumped the secret is out that one of my best friends in the yachting world is the chief stew of the new season of Below Deck.”

He continued: “I can honestly say she’s one of the most genuine/ kind-hearted human I know.”

While it’s yet to be revealed how they both know each other, Heather took to his comments to confirm her appearance.

She wrote: “Cats out of the bag,” alongside, “You’re the best,” as the photo showed them enjoying a glass of wine she included “#morewinenightsplease.”

The news of Heather’s arrival to the franchise was also shared by Below Deck Med’s Anastasia Surmava.

She featured on the show in season four as a stew and chef before stepping down in season four and now expressed her excitement to see Heather appear on the show on Instagram stories.

While she commented with heart eyes under Alex’s post and posted a collage of Heather between Captain Lee Rosbach, and Chef Rachel Hargrove.

Anastasia drew a heart around Heather and wrote: “My girl is the new chief stew ya’ll.”

She tagged the newbie and added: “Love you (Heather). So damn proud of you!!!!”

Anatasia couldn’t contain her excitement as she went on to post another Instagram story about Heather, which read: “Just look at her!!!!! Can’t wait to watch you crush it this season baby!”

The new chief stew was receptive to the posts and reshared it with the caption: ”The support is unreal.”

Heather will be replacing ‘Stud of the Sea’ Captain Lee Rosbach, who had to take a sudden exit from the series after a mysterious condition.

Although he confirmed he didn’t have Covid, Captain Lee is set to be making a huge appearance later on in the season.

Joining Heather on their first experience as stews on Below Deck are stews Jessica Albert and Fraser Olender, and deckhands Jake Foulger, Rayna Lindsay, and Wes O’Dell.

Returning for another season are Chef Rachel and Eddie Lucas, who received a huge promotion to first officer.

Fans will have to tune in to the latest season of Below Deck to find out how chief stew Hannah Chase, Alex and Anastasia all know each other.

Below Deck season 9 premieres on Monday, October 25 on Bravo.
