The Bravo reality series has seen its fair share of arguments recently, however, bosun Malia White clashed with stewardess Lexi Wilson several times in the latest episodes of Below Deck Meditteranean. Malia has since detailed the fiery clash with Lexi that was about money and took place on a relaxed night off for the crew.
In season six of the reality series, Captain Sandy returns to navigate a new yacht, the Lady Michelle, through the stunning Dalmatian Coast.
Malia is a bosun on the yacht and works alongside Lexi, one of the main stewardesses on board but it is clear the two don’t get along at all.
Malia has now spoken out about the clash between her and Lexi during the show’s second episode, It’s Not Easy Being Green.
Speaking of the aftermath, she told Decider: “That was a rough night.”
The bosun added: “Looking back, it’s ugly on all sides, not just Lexi.
“And I think moving past that, we expected more of an apology but I get where she’s coming from, too,” Malia explained.
She continued by wishing their drunken argument would just “go away” and explained that most people have those drunken rows, which are later forgotten.
Malia also revealed that both she and Lexi are working hard to forget the embarrassing incident.
“[We] just [want to] start off on a new page and move past it,” Malia remarked.
The star further explained that this current season is a “strange” one for them both as she believes Lexi entered the show with “preconceived notions of who I am from watching past seasons”.
“That was difficult to overcome with her,” she added.
“When she said the comment about not being sincere about her dad, that really hurt.”
Malia continued: “But I think that she and I are starting to move past that, which is good.”
During the episode, the drama between Lexi and Malia escalated after a crew dinner on a night off for the team.
The two got into a disagreement over the bill but Lexi admitted to The Daily Dish that the whole thing was “definitely a misunderstanding”.
Everyone at the table owed 300 kuna for their dinner, but Lexi only had euros so proceeded to ask Malia what the conversion rate was to pay her share.
Lexi began to get riled up and said she was disappointed that Malia didn’t just admit she didn’t know the conversion rate so the two could simply figure out money the next day.
Lexi stated that the money confusion led her to feel incredibly “frustrated” and alcohol that evening made the situation worse.
“I just didn’t understand. If [Malia] had given me time to convert that, I would have gladly given her that right there and then,” the stewardess said.
Lexi also explained her clash with Malia when they went to the hot tub later that night, stating the whole thing could have been avoided if she “dealt with Malia separately”.
The stewardess also said she was “responding to things that were said to me” that evening, and she definitely wasn’t “just arguing for the sake of arguing”.
Below Deck Mediterranean is available to watch on Bravo in the US.
