Britain’s Got Talent winner Axel Blake appears on ITV's Lorraine after final but viewers all make the same complaint

BRITAIN's Got Talent winner Axel Blake has hit back at claims the show was fixed after fans said he was "already famous".

Viewers fumed on Sunday night as the comedian and dad-of-two was crowned the 2022 winner, despite already having a show on Amazon Prime.

Simon Cowell's Golden Buzzer act today faced awkward questions about his past TV successes as he chatted to Lorraine Kelly.

Lorraine said: "You know what it's like, people will say, 'hang on a minute, Britain's Got Talent is about undiscovered talent.'"

"So I put that show on myself. I (financed) it, everything myself," Axel explained.

"I put my money where my mouth is. So it looks like ‘Oh wow, Amazon Prime’ but it doesn’t look like that on the back end. It was a lot of stress.

"I had to borrow from other people, I had already put the deposit down, and after that, Amazon picked it up. So it wasn’t (made) for Amazon Prime. Amazon picked it up."

He continued: "I recorded it, then Amazon was like, ‘Oh we want that’ and that was like a year later."

Despite his explanation, viewers were still frustrated and one moaned on Twitter: "He was up against a child with a chicken, not to knock the child.

He was booked to perform at Indigo at London's O2 this month, and was billed as 'the Snapchat King' and 'social media star'.

Axel has also presented for well known channels such as SBTV and UNILAD and many of his comedy sketches have gone viral.

However, Axel, from West London, hadn't given up his day job and still worked as a property maintenance manager.

After the winner was announced the funny man fell to his knees as Ant and Dec said his name.
