Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) is in a bad place in Coronation Street; with her facing years in prison for killing Imran Habeeb.
With even Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) admitting to police that he has doubts, as Toyah had previously ranted that she would kill Imran, Toyah is now without representation.
Leanne (Jane Danson) is left worried when she gets a call from her sister, who tells her that it’s absurd that she would drive herself into a wall in order to kill Imran.
The unsaid hangs in the air; with Toyah forced to clarify that she didn’t try to take her own life either.
Leanne asks her to reiterate that, clearly nervous about Toyah’s state of mind.
Toyah insists that she is innocent, and Leanne said that the only way forward is to get her proper legal representation.
Toyah is filled with desperate hope when Leanne tells her that she can pay for a solicitor.
This could be the only way for Toyah, but it’s clear that both sisters know this will be an uphill struggle.
With missing money from the Bistro triggering Debbie (Sue Devaney), has Leanne taken desperate measures to help Toyah?
And will it be enough?
