Coronation Streets Jamie Kennas life off screen including famous wife

Jamie Kenna has been featured on and off in Coronation Street since he joined the cast back in 2021 as Phill Whittaker.

His on-screen character has had a blossoming relationship with fan favourite Fiz Stape (played by Jennie Alpine), but little is known about Jamie's romance away from the ITV soap. So, here's everything we know about the Corrie star's wife.

The TV star is married to actress and singer Claire Marlowe, who has starred in the movie A Confident Man as well as the comedy mini-series, House of the Holy, according to her IMDb page. The couple have two young children together, with Jamie revealing on the Lorraine show that the pair met while working on a play together. As well as their two kids, the family also have a black pug puppy called Sonny.

Back in May, Claire shared on Instagram: "A sneaky flying visit to Manchester to see this one @thejamiekenna and watch @passionamusical @hopemilltheatre.

"It was really wonderful! This is the kind of theatre I love and want to watch! Oh and be in!" she continued.

The couple prefer to keep most of their personal lives out of the spotlight and Clare even has a separate private Instagram account with a bio that reads: "Pictures of my little family for friends and family to see".

The husband and wife live in Brighton with Clare often flying up to see Jamie who is in Manchester filming Coronation Street.

It seems Clare has other passions outside of her family life and performing, which includes a catering side hustle. Her Instagram account shows a small catering business called Sundae Surprise Tea Parties. And according to the business' bio, she caters to events such as private parties, pop-ups, dinner parties and picnics.

What else is there to know about Jamie Kenna?

Before his acting career, Jamie, 48, used to be a former semi-professional footballer, formerly of Rusthall FC. With regard to his TV career, his previous roles included Stormbreaker, Green Street and The Bill. He also starred in EastEnders as Vince Franks, as well as starring in the stage production of To Kill a Mockingbird – and according to Jamie's film credits he has taken part in Clubbed and The Bank Job.

Meanwhile back on the Corrie set, Phill and Fiz have been preparing for their wedding day but it has not been going according to plan. So will they or won't they tie the knot?

Coronation Street continues on weekdays on ITV.
