'Countdown to Christmas 2019': Every New Hallmark Holiday Movie We Know About So Far

It’s only July, but the folks over at the Hallmark Channel are already hanging up the mistletoe and stringing up the twinkly lights. The network known for its feel-good lineup of holiday TV fare has a record-breaking 40 new movies planned for 2019. (That’s two more than aired in 2018, for those keeping track at home.)

On Saturday night, Hallmark regular Lacey Chabert will preview some on the upcoming films in a special Countdown to Christmas preview special, but details about a number of the movies have already been released. Here are the 2019 Hallmark Christmas movies we know about so far.

Hallmark’s 2019 Countdown to Christmas kicks off October 25

In late October, most people are still carving jack-o-lanterns and sipping pumpkin spice lattes. But if you’re ready to trade Halloween candy for gingerbread, Hallmark Channel is the place to be. The network annual Countdown to Christmas kicks off on October 25.

While we don’t know the full schedule just yet, here are some of the new movies you can expect to see on the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries this year.

A Christmas Love Story: Kristin Chenoweth plays a choir director who discovers that one of her students has a special vocal talent. Scott Wolf co-stars.

Christmas Town: Hallmark Channel queen Candace Cameron Bure returns for her eighth holiday movie for the network. She plays a woman who leaves behind the big city for a small town and in the process meets a few people who remind her of the real meaning of Christmas.

Merry and Bright: Full House alum Jodie Sweetin plays the CEO of a candy cane company who is set up with a guy (Andrew Walker) who’s secretly trying to take over her sweet business.

Christmas in Rome: Chabert plays an American tour guide in Italy who loses her job just before Christmas. Fortunately, she meets a tourist (Sam Page) who hires her to be his personal shopper.

Holiday for Heroes: Melissa Claire Egan plays a woman who exchanges letters with a soldier (Marc Blucas) for a year before their worlds suddenly collide.

Sense, Sensibility & Snowmen: Following the success of last year’s Jane Austen-inspired Pride, Prejudice, and Mistletoe, this movie stars Erin Krakow from When Calls the Heart as a Christmas party planner who clashes with her client, a toy company CEO.

Christmas Scavenger Hunt: Krakow’s When Calls the Heart co-star Kevin McGarry pairs up with his ex Belinda (Kim Shaw) for their town’s annual Christmas scavenger hunt.

The Christmas Club: Elizabeth Mitchell and Cameron Mathison play two busy strangers who connect when they help an elderly woman find her lost Christmas savings.

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses: Jill Wagner plays a single mom and interior designer who is hired to decorate the estate of a local businessman (Matthew Davis). Will she be able to complete the job before Christmas?

Christmas Duet: A musical duo went their separate ways reunite at a beautiful lodge in snowy Vermont. It stars Chaley Rose and Rome Flynn.

Two Turtle Doves: A doctor (Nikki DeLoach) searches for a family heirloom in her hometown, where she encounters a little girl and her father (Michael Rady) who teach her that miracles really do happen.

Five Cards for Christmas: Torrey DeVitto and Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill reunite in this holiday film.

Picture a Perfect Christmas: Merritt Patterson heads home to care for her grandmother over the holidays, where she meets her handsome neighbor (Jon Cor).

Blake Shelton will also produce an as-yet-untitled movie for the network.

2019 Christmas: A First Look Preview Special airs July 13 at 10/9c on Hallmark Channel.
