Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, both 61, revealed on Monday's This Morning that they first met each other on a street corner.
The couple were discussing different stories with viewers about how they first met their partners.
After hearing one story about a couple who met whilst window cleaning, Ruth and Eamonn felt obliged to share their own first meet story.
Continuing the segment, Eamonn said: "They met up a ladder over a Squeegee in a bucket, how did you meet? Let us know this morning."
Ruth chimed in: "We met on a street corner."
Eamonn confirmed: "We did meet on a street corner, that's right we did."

Although Ruth and Eamonn appeared unaware of how their story sounded to viewers, they left producers laughing.
Ruth exclaimed: "What do you mean it sounds wrong?
"That's your mind!" Ruth said pointing at the camera, before repeating: "That's just your mind."
Producers weren't the only ones left laughing. This Morning guest and former tabloid journalist Matthew Wright, also couldn't help but laugh at Ruth and Eamonn's story.

Eamonn carried on confirming their story before he was interrupted: "We did. I was driving past and I saw this statuesque…"
Despite retelling the romantic tale, Eamonn was distracted by Matthew's fits of laughter.
From the other side of the studio, Eamonn said to Matthew: "You probably wrote about it at the time."
"I think he did actually!" Ruth added.
Despite their roadside meet, Eamonn and Ruth have been together since 1996, over twenty years ago.
Although, the couple did not marry until 2010 out of respect for Eamonn's former wife Gabrielle.
Eamonn and Gabrielle have three children together: Declan, 32, Rebecca, 30, and Niall, 28.
Their eldest son, Declan, recently had a baby daughter, making Eamonn a first-time grandfather.
Ruth and Eamonn also have a son together, 20-year-old Jack.
The TV couple have been hosting ITV's This Morning since 2000, and have long since entertained viewers with their on-screen tiffs.
Their success on the show has lead to a growing fan base.
The pair are covering the This Morning hosting spot for most of the summer to give Phil and Holly time off.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
