EastEnders Big Mo star Laila Morse embraces being a nudist

EastEnders legend Laila Morse has revealed that she is a proud nudist, and loves to strip off on beaches abroad, adding that it’s a great way to stop people approaching her to talk about Big Mo.

The star, who recently left the show to spend more time in Spain, said she embraces her body and doesn’t care what anyone thinks – even if she ‘looks like a beached whale’.

She told the Daily Star: ‘I do like to take my clothes off when I’m on holiday. I was on a nudist beach in Lanzarote and had a smashing time. I don’t
care if I look like a beached whale.

‘It’s the one place where no one ever comes up to me and says, “Hello Mo!” No one takes any notice cos they’ve all got no clothes on!’

Fair play, we might try it when someone we don’t want to chat to is approaching.

Encouraging others to be proud of their own skin, the icon continued: ‘Every woman should enjoy getting her kit off. We’re too hung up about having the perfect body. We should be proud of what we’ve got.’

And it’s not just on the beach that Laila will be ditching the garments – but the dancefloor too.

In order to raise discussion about checking your body for signs of cancer, she is participating in Strictly Real Full Monty this Christmas.

Having been diagnosed with cancer in 2003, it’s a topic close to Laila’s heart.

Ashley Banjo is leading the choreography and presenting of the show, which will mix dancing and stripping for the good cause.

Along with Laila, other participants include professional dancers and husband and wife James and Ola Jordan, Blue singer Duncan James, model Christine McGuiness, Olympian Colin Jackson, musical theatre and Loose Women star Brenda Edwards, TV presenter Martin Roberts and Love Island favourites Teddy Soares and Demi Jones.
