EastEnders fans divided by Bobby and Dana split as Harvey learns of killer past

EastEnders fans have been left divided as Dana and Bobby are forced apart after Rocky lets slip about Bobby’s murderous past.

Monday night’s episode saw a whirlwind of drama on Albert Square as Rocky was determined to tear hearts apart.

While Rocky and Kathy helped Harvey move into his new pad on the square, Rocky explained the real reason behind how Bobby found God from the inside of a prison cell.

Understandably, Harvey wasted no time in letting his daughter Dana flirt up a storm with the jailbird himself, and he pulled the two love birds apart in true EastEnders fashion.

But BBC viewers were left divided as to whether or not Rocky did the right thing, as fans took to Twitter to share their opinions over the controversial decision.

One user wrote: “Your daughter loves Bobby and she knows what he did and she still wants to be with him. He's not a bad person.”

Another added: “Bobby and Dana are the best couple in the show right now.”

However, some viewers felt that Harvey did the right thing removing Dana from her blossoming relationship with Bobby.

One viewer wrote: “You think I'd let my daughter go out with a murderer? 'It was an accident' Really Dana? Clearly neither the police or the courts agreed. Also how exactly can you accidentally murder someone?”

“Dana to Bobby, who’s done time for killing his sister, ‘you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me’ bloody hell that’s setting the bar high,” said another.

A third agreed and chimed in with: “’You’re the best thing what’s ever happened to me, Bobby Beale,’ says Dana. What must her life have been like up to now!!”

But the main thought that most viewers agreed on was that Rocky should not have shared Bobby’s secret without letting Bobby explain it to him in person first.

“I think Rocky said that to Harvey so Kathy breaks up with him … I think he has a relationship commitment issue.”

“Behind Rocky’s smile and laughter is a man who’s always calculating. That was a really low blow to Kathy and Bobby. I can’t wait to see what he does next.”

Whereas one user believed: “Ah clearly Rocky did that because he had to, not because he wanted to. I wonder what the problem is.”

EastEnders continues on Tuesday night on BBC One at 7.30pm
