Mick Carter (played by Danny Dyer) almost drove his car into a brick wall in last night’s instalment of EastEnders. The BBC soap favourite has struggled to open up his wife Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and the rest of his family so decided to contact his former care worker Katy Lewis (Simone Lahbib) instead. However, fans spotted a huge blunder as they pair reunited at Ruby’s.
After yesterday’s heartbreaking cliffhanger, Friday’s episode began with Mick tracking down Shirley Carter (Linda Henry).
Mick has been estranged from his mother in recent weeks but ran after her and urged her to talk to him.
However, Shirley was trying to help Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) find out who placed a listening device in the Arches.
Mick was furious with his mother for not being there for him yet again and decided to call Katy.

The former care worker met Mick at Ruby Allen’s (Louisa Lytton) nightclub and cruelly blamed his recent mental health struggles on living in Walford.
As Katy convinced Mick to keep his struggles between them, eagle-eyed fans spotted a blunder in the background of the scene.
A soap extra appeared to be on her phone while sat at the bar but viewers noticed her hand was hovering over her phone rather than touching the screen.
One fan tweeted: “NOTHING has sent me like this background actress pretending to use her phone behind the Mick/Katy scene #EastEnders.”
“She’s just trying to play candy crush,” another cheekily replied.
Someone else said: “#EastEnders who is this extra pretending to use that phone??”
“Lovely bit of fake texting from #EastEnders tonight,” a fourth added.

Mick told Katy he wanted to see a therapist but the scheming new arrival convinced him no to.
“I just don’t think it’s going to help,” Katy said. “Because I was there, you said it yourself I know what it was like back then.
“I know what you were like, no shrink is even going to begin to know that and no shrink is going to care like I do.
“Why do you think I started working in that home in the first place?”
“Because I wanted to help kids like you and I want to help now too,” Kay continued.
“I don’t think you should tell anyone not yet just let the two of us work it out.”
“How?” Mick asked and Katy replied: “When you get those dark thoughts again you call me whenever, wherever.”
EastEnders continues on Monday on BBC One at 8.05pm.
