Kacey Ainsworth has left fans stunned after unveiling a dramatic makeover for her new role.
EastEnders ' Kacey, 52, was snapped on the set of her latest project, The Mallorca Files, looking worlds away from Mo Mitchell with a fresh tan and short blonde hair a la Gillian Anderson.
Snapped with co-star Tim Whitnall, the pair were all smiles in the snap shared on Twitter.
And Kacey responded to the post, laughing: "Look at that fake tan! Not sure it suits a Scottish/scandi like me. Face with tears of joy – when we could travel to film Smiling face with tear happy memories! @timwhitnall @cebohon1 #mallorcafiles all this week bbc1 Smiling face with smiling eyes or @BBCiPlayer."
Kacey contracted and recovered from Covid in December.
She shared her positive diagnosis on Twitter, but told fans that she'd been asymptomatic.
Kacey wrote: "After years in the business my timing is usually impeccable, seen my dogs n the sheep, and my family only but I have tested positive for Covid on the day everyone can go out.
"Feel gutted but mostly feel Huge gratitude that I’m fine thinking of those not so fortunate #herd."
She followed up the message by retweeting about the "importance" of the vaccine.
Kacey hasn't appeared as Little Mo on Albert Square since 2006, with many fans holding out hopes that she'll make a triumphant comeback.
She's since moved on to a string of other projects including Grantchester and now, The Mallorca Files, but in September dashed hopes of a return to Walford.
Some fans took her return to the set of Grantchester meant Little Mo's return was on hold, but the star's rep told the Mirror that her comeback is "just a rumour."
Kacey has said that she gets asked all the time about Little Mo.
"It's flattering because she was such a good character," she told the Loose Women panel.
"And I'm still in contact with all my screen sisters," she added, referring to Jessie Wallace and Elaine Lordan who played Kat Slater and Lynne Hobbs.
